Oregon Coast Realty began in 1977 when Eldon Gossett, owner and broker, purchased the Central Building in the heart of Brookings, Oregon. With the purchase, he obtained Brookings Land and Townsite Company, a company founded by Robert S. Brookings in 1914 and for whom our city is named. Robert Brookings is also the founder of the Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C.

In 1980, the building was given historic status by the National Registrar of Historic Buildings in Washington, D.C. The building offers the very best business exposure in downtown Brookings and has made an excellent office facility for our Real Estate business. The Central Building is also home to a bookstore, a cafe and gift shops.

From the beginning, we have dedicated the company to excellence in Real Estate and agreed never to settle for anything less. Oregon Realtor Institute as well as ongoing broker education are required training programs. Our office is a member of the Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS).
